Apple Cider Vinegar for Your Health

Everybody has heard of apple cider vinegar. The smell alone brings some of us to a halt while others seem to enjoy it. Did you know that apple cider vinegar has many uses? Apple cider vinegar is not only used for cooking, but for cleaning and, believe it or not, for helping to promote good heath.

Help Yourself with Apple Cider Vinegar

Help fight off that cold or the flu with apple cider vinegar. Place 1 teaspoon of the vinegar in an eight ounce glass of water and drink it down. By doing this a few times a day it will help to balance the pH in our bodies which in turn helps to fight off the types of germs that cause these ailments.

Try using a little as a gargle. When you have a sore throat a gargle is the best way to help relieve some of that pain. Place 1/4 teaspoon of apple cider vinegar in a small amount of water and gargle every hour or so. Just remember not to swallow the mixture. By gargling you are helping to rid your throat of those nasty germs so make sure you rid yourself of the mixture instead of ingesting it and putting those germs back into the body.

Apple cider vinegar is also known to help relieve sinus and ear infections. Place a little in a vaporizer to help clear the sinuses or use a small amount in a syringe for relief from the pain of an ear infection. If using it for an ear infection, be sure to drain the liquid out of the ear to help remove the infection.

By ingesting apple cider vinegar mixed with water you can help to relieve diarrhea and other digestive problems. The vinegar helps to coat the intestines and it promotes the activation of stomach acids and enzymes. Due to this it also is a great relief for an acid reflux condition.

Try treating varicose veins with apple cider vinegar too. Rub the vinegar directly on the area twice a day. Also drink a vinegar and water tonic twice a day. Within a month you should begin to see a change both in the way you feel and in how you look. It also helps to relieve the tenderness caused by sore achy muscles. Just rub some on the area or better yet, soak in a mixture of apple cider vinegar and warm water. You will begin to relax and feel that achy sore feeling disappear.

Use can also use apple cider vinegar to treat dandruff. By rubbing the vinegar into your scalp and leaving it for up to an hour before rinsing it out you can help to prevent dandruff and itchy scalp. Relief from sunburn can also come from soaking in apple cider vinegar.

The use of apple cider vinegar mixed with water has also been said to help in weight loss. Try drinking a glass before eating a meal and watch the pounds slowly vanish. Along with a great exercise routine and a healthy diet it not only will help promote weight loss but keep that weight you have lost off.

There are so many uses for this economical product. Everyone should have some in their pantry and in their medicine cabinet as well. Try some and see what great relief you can benefit from with just a little bit of vinegar. Just mix some up, hold your nose and drink it up. You might be surprised with the results.
