Easy Pancake Recipe
What You’ll Need
Box of Pancake Mix
Skillet
Wire Whisk
Ladle
Spatula
Mixing Bowl
Large Plate
Ingredients
1 cup of pancake mix (Makes 10-12 pancakes)
Butter or cooking spray
¾ cups of milk
1 tablespoon of oil
1 egg
Maple Syrup
Preparation
Heat a skillet over a medium to low heat. Skillet is ready when you place a drop of water into it and it sizzles and is gone very quickly. Lightly grease the skillet with cooking spray or butter.
In a bowl combine the cup of pancake mix; oil; milk and egg and stir with a wire whisk until all of the lumps are gone. Let it stand for one to two minutes so it may thicken.
Using a ladle, pour less than 1/4 cup of the batter per each pancake onto the lightly greased skillet.
Using a spatula, turn the pancakes as soon as the tops of them bubble. But first check the bottom of the pancakes with a spatula to ensure they are golden brown. Adjust the heat if necessary.
Once they are sufficiently brown, take them off the skilled with the spatula and place them on a plate.
Toppings: Add a few slices of butter under and on top of the pancakes. To top it off, add maple syrup. If you want to add fresh fruit; a few strawberries or blueberries will be the proverbial icing on the cake!
Options: Before cooking try adding fruit or nuts or ever chocolate chips directly into the batter. Just have fun and enjoy!
