Flatten That Midsection with Food
Monosaturated fats have been linked to losing that stubborn midsection. Yep you read it right, a fat. Hard to imagine but it is true. These types of fats can be found in several different types of plant food. Not only do these types of food help to flatten that midsection but also enhance your chances at losing that unwanted weight.
One of the first foods to look at would be the oils that are consumed. There are many types of healthy oils that can be added to your diet. Included are such oils as olive oil, sunflower oil, flaxseed and walnut oil. Use one tablespoon of any of these types of oils when cooking or making a salad dressing and discover the heath benefits they contain.
Olives are another food that can help maintain your weight and midsection. It doesn't matter what type of olives, any will work. These little gems can be eaten right out of the jar or you can use them in your favorite recipe. One great way to enjoy olives is in a spread. These types of spreads can be used on sandwiches, for dips or as filler in that beloved piece of celery.
Avocadoes are also on the list. These wonders are packed full of those monosaturated fats. There are many ways to eat avocadoes. Try them in a salad or sliced and placed on a sandwich. Make a spread or dip out of them. Whatever way you decide to eat them make sure they are a part of your everyday diet.
Nuts and seeds also top the list of foods to help flatten that midsection. The best type of nuts to consume would be unsalted nuts. Pecans, walnuts, cashews and almonds are all a part of the nut family and will help to benefit your goals. Sunflower seeds or pumpkin seeds are also beneficial. Add them to a salad or
roast them but remember no butter or salt.
Believe it or not chocolate is also on this list. Yes you read right again, chocolate. As long as it is consumed in moderation, dark or semi sweet chocolate will give you the benefits of a flatter midsection. Crazy huh? Not really. Chocolate is full of monosaturated fats and can be quite healthy when eaten in small amounts.
