Grass fed beef and Omega-3 fatty acids go hand in hand. Omega-3 fatty acids are important to our health and well being. Because cattle that are grass fed produce higher amounts of Omega-3 fatty acids, these levels are right up there with the amounts found in fish, fish oil and cod liver oil.

Studies have shown that most people consume foods that are higher in Omega-6 fatty acids. These fatty acids can cause you health problems if not balanced with Omega-3 fatty acids. With an even balance you can help fight against and even prevent heart disease, along with many other types of illnesses.

Studies show that Omega-3 fatty acids can reduce the treatment for people suffering from rheumatoid arthritis. It can also help prevent hypertension, cancer and inflammatory conditions.
Our bodies cannot produce fatty acids on their own. Therefore it is important to eat a diet that contains these fatty acids.

A component found in Omega-3 fatty acids, called DHA, has been linked to lowering serotonin levels in the brain. Depression has been linked to low levels of Omega-3 fatty acids. CLA is a fat that can decrease the risk of obesity, cancer, immune disorders and diabetes. The ratio of CLA in grass fed beef compared to chicken breasts is three to one. Grass fed beef has lower cholesterol levels than chicken breasts and the Omega-3 ratio for grass fed beef is four to one compared to chicken breast.

Eating grass fed beef is one way to help ensure a healthy body. The facts are well documented and have been proven over time. Try some grass fed beef the next time you fix beef. The facts prove that it’s much better than even chicken and that the Omega-3 fatty acids in this beef can give you a much healthier way to live.
