Romantic Valentine's Day Meal Ideas

A way to a man’s heart may not always be through his stomach but it sure is a good place to start. Having a romantic dinner, just the two of you, on Valentine’s Day is one way to show each other how important you are to each other while spending some quality time together. It’s a way to relax and enjoy a day that it set out to be one for romance and love.

Romantic Meals are the Way to His Heart

You can always start your day out with breakfast in bed. When was the last time the two of had that? More than likely it has been a very long time. Make pancakes shaped into hearts. You can also make omelets with heart shaped pans or molds. Don’t forget to add some fresh fruit and a little chocolate or fruit dip. Strawberries are the best when it comes to romance. Don’t forget the juice and coffee. Add a couple of heart shaped ice cubes to a glass of juice. If you like flavored coffees go all out and add whip topping to the top. If you can try to fix it together and then head back to bed to enjoy if not then serve it up on a tray with that special card and gift.

A romantic dinner can be made by your own hand or have it catered in. Whichever way you decide to go, always start with appetizers. Make them simple like a vegetable tray and dip. Maybe chicken wings with a spicy dip. Do you like seafood? Try shrimp cocktail or oysters.

Have a salad that is made with love. Use cookie cutters to cut up vegetables in heart shapes. Add steak or chicken to make it more enjoyable. Croutons can also be cut into different romantic shapes. Add your favorite dressings to top it all off.

For the main course try to fix something you both really enjoy. If you have it catered be sure to let them know that this is for a special night. They may come up with some ideas to make your food look and taste more romantic. Just be sure it’s something both of you like and can enjoy while talking and reminiscing about your life together.

Dessert is a must for any romantic dinner. Chocolate is an aphrodisiac. Make a chocolate cake or have chocolate pie. Chocolate pudding with whipped cream is also very good. If you only want a little chocolate, try some ice cream with chocolate topping or sprinkles. Strawberries dipped in chocolate are also a great romantic dessert.

What would a romantic evening be without a bit of wine? Be sure to check and see if a white or red wine should be served with the meal you are preparing. Some like dry wine and others prefer a more lively wine. Be sure you have chosen the right wine that not only goes with the food but with both of your tastes.

Being romantic with the one you love is what Valentine’s Day is all about. Showing them how much they mean to you and how much you appreciate having them in your life is the best gift ever. Spending time together talking, enjoy a good meal and rediscovering each other is priceless.
