4 Ingredient Slow Roasted Beef Brisket


* 4 lbs beef brisket
* 1 envelope dry onion soup mix
* 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
* 1 cup red wine


1. Preheat oven to 300.
2. Place brisket in deep baking pan.
3. In a small bowl, combine soup mix, Worcestershire sauce, and wine, whisking together until smooth. Pour over brisket.
4. Bake covered for 5-6 hours. Try not to peek.


This is one of our favorite winter weekend meals. On a cold day, it really sends a nice, warm feeling (and aroma!) all through the house. I make smashed potatoes and glazed carrots to go with the brisket for a real home-style dinner.

Be sure you use real red wine, any variety you like. Don't buy that cooking wine stuff - it's not good and lacks the deep rich flavor you're looking for in a wine for cooking.
