5 Star Almond Fish Fillets


* 1 lb frozen cod fillets (or other firm white fish)
* 1/4 cup slivered almonds
* 1 tablespoon butter, melted
* 4 tablespoons lemon juice


1. Preheat oven to 400.
2. Place frozen fillets in a baking pan.
3. Mix almonds with butter and lemon juice, then pour over fish.
4. Cover with foil and bake for 40 to 45 minutes.


If you eat in a fancy restaurant and order fish with almond-butter sauce, this is basically all they do! You can easily make this 5 Star recipe at home and pay A LOT less. If you want to add a bit more color, just sprinkle the fish with fresh parsley before serving.

Also, you may want to toast the almonds before adding them to the fish. It's easy to do and the flavor is really intensified. Just put the almonds in a DRY skillet over medium heat and shake the skillet around until the almonds start to smell good. It only takes a minute, so don't walk away. This extra step is well worth dirtying another pan.
