Apple Pecan Herbed Casserole |

Ingredients
|
* 1/2 cup butter, divided
* 2/3 cup diced onion
* 2/3 cup diced celery
* 3 cups apples, peeled, cored & diced
* 3 cups lightly toasted bread, diced
* 1 teaspoon salt
* 1/2 teaspoon pepper
* 1/8 teaspoon ground sage
* 1/8 teaspoon ground marjoram
* 1/8 teaspoon ground thyme
* 1/2 teaspoon parsley flakes
* 1/2 cup chopped pecans
* 1/2 cup chicken broth
*preheat oven to 325 degrees

Directions

1. Saute onions & celery in 1/4 cup of the butter until just crisp/tender.
2. Saute apples in a separate skillet in remaining butter until apples are softened slightly and browned lightly.
3. Place all the ingredients in a very large bowl and mix gently with your hands until combined, being careful not to break up the bread too much or over-mix.
4. Place mixture in buttered casserole dish and cover.
5. Bake in 325 degree oven for 40 to 45 minutes or until firm.
