Be My Valentine Chocolate Hearts

*8 (1 oz.) squares milk chocolate or chocolate coating squares
heart shaped cookie cutters
Cake frosting in decorating tubes for writing

box of Valentine sayings candy (if you need inspiration and ideas)

1. Place the chocolate squares in a microwave safe bowl.
2. Place in the microwave on high for 1 minute.
3. Remove the chocolate and stir.
4. Return to the microwave if the chocolate is not completely melted.
5. Melt the chocolate at 30 second intervals until completely smooth.
6. Stir after each 30 second interval.
7. Lay a piece of wax paper on a cookie sheet.
8. Pour the chocolate on the wax paper.
9. Smooth the chocolate to desired thickness.
10. Refrigerate until the chocolate is firm but pliable about 10 minutes.
11. Remove the chocolate from the refrigerator.
12. Use a heart shaped cookie cutter to cut out the candy.
13. Refrigerate candy in an air tight container.

If making special Valentine's Day cards appeals to you, then you may want to give this project a little attention. Wouldn't it be fun to present your Valentines with handmade chocolate sentiments? Buy a box of those Valentine candies that have the sayings if you need help. Then, when your chocolate hearts are good and hard, take one out of the refrigerator at a time and simply write your "Be Mine", or "You're Swell" on each heart. Now that's a special chocolate, indeed!
