* 2 lbs sauerkraut, rinsed and drained
* 1 can (28 oz) diced tomatoes (not drained)
* 5 cups water
* 1 can (6 oz) tomato paste
* 2 bay leaves
* 1/4 teaspoon ground pepper
* 1/4 teaspoon seasoned salt
* 1 1/2 lbs beef top round steak, cut into 1/2" cubes
* 2 1/2 tablespoons sugar
* 3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice

1. Put in crock pot: sauerkraut, tomatoes, water, tomato paste, bay leaves, pepper, seasoned salt and beef.
2. Cover and cook on high for 3 hours. Bring heat down to low and cook for another 4 hours.
3. Take out bay leaves and throw away. Add sugar and lemon juice. Stir and serve.
