Beer 'n Beef - Crock Pot |
Ingredients

* 1 1/2 lbs beef stew meat, cubed
* 3 1/2 tablespoons flour
* 2 teaspoons salt
* 1 teaspoon pepper
* 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
* 12 oz can beer
* 1 envelope dry onion soup mix
* 1 envelope brown gravy mix
* optional: serve with or over hot, buttery, cooked wide egg noodles

Directions

1. Coat beef with flour, salt and pepper. Brown in hot oil in a skillet over medium heat.
2. Mix last three ingredients in crock pot then add browned beef.
3. Cook, covered, on low for 7-8 hours.
4. optional; may serve over buttered egg noodles

If you haven't tried cooking with beer yet, you may want to try this recipe for Beer and Beef. It's simple and delicious. Beer adds a real nice tangy flavor to the final product. I'll serve this over a little buttery noodles or, if not noodles, then just stick some good-sized chunks of crusty bread in alongside the beef.
