Bundle Me Up Shrimp


*16 jumbo shrimp, peeled and deveined
*8 strips of bacon cut in half lengthwise
*1/4 C butter style shortening, melted
*1 TBSP Parmesan cheese, freshly grated
*1 garlic clove, minced fine
*1 tsp lemon juice


1. Allow the broiler to heat while preparing the shrimp.
2. Wrap each strip with a half slice of bacon and secure with a toothpick.
3. Place the shortening into a bowl.
4. Sprinkle the cheese into the melted shortening.
5. Add the garlic and the lemon juice and blend to combine.
6. Brush each shrimp with the sauce.
7. Place the prepared shrimp on a broiler pan.
8. Broil 5 minutes, turn and continue broiling an additional 5 minutes.
