Cabbage Applesauce Skillet


* 2 Tbsp of olive oil
* 1 onion, sliced into thin strips
* 2 lbs red cabbage, shredded
* 1/4 tsp ground cloves
* 3 Tbsp red wine vinegar
* 1 Tbsp sugar
* 1/2 C natural applesauce


1. Heat the oil until hot in a skillet then stir in the onions.
2. Cook the onions 5 minutes or until tender.
3. Add the cabbage and cook 3 minutes longer to wilt.
4. Add the cloves, vinegar, sugar and applesauce and mix until sugar dissolves.
5. Cook for 13 minutes on low heat, stirring occasionally.
