* 1 head broccoli, cut flowerets and stems into bite sized pieces, and microwaved for 1 minute or until just hot, then cool immediately in the refrigerator.
* 1 cup finely diced celery
* 1 cup green grapes, halved if you wish
* 1 cup red grapes, halved if you wish
* 8 slices bacon, cooked crispy and crumbled
* 1 cup toasted slivered almonds
* 1 cup mayonnaise
* 1 tablespoon vinegar
* 1/2 cup sugar

I always like this classic broccoli dish because it's crunchy and sweet, two good things. One thing I always do is microwave my broccoli flowettes just until I can smell them. That gets rid of the bitter raw broccoli taste that I don't like. You don't want to microwave them so long, though, that they get too soft. Just so they're hot. Cool them down in the refrigerator and you're ready to mix up your salad. Use this dish as either a vegetable side dish or a salad. It's great either way.
