Asian Steak - Crock Pot


* 2 to 2 1/2 lbs. boneless steak, cut in serving size pieces (not bite size pieces)
* 1 teaspoon ginger
* 1 tablespoon sugar (more or less to taste)
* 2 tablespoon vegetable oil
* 1/2 cup soy sauce
* 1 garlic clove, crushed

* hot cooked rice


1. Place steak in crock pot. Mix all other ingredients together thoroughly, except rice, then pour over steak.

2. Cook, covered, on low 6-7 hours. Serve with hot rice.


The smell of ginger wafting through the house is enough reason to make this recipe. You can use most any cut of steak because it will cook up tender no matter what you use. The soy sauce is a great tenderizer and really makes this dish tangy and good. I don't know about you, but my mouth is watering already.
