Crunchy Apple Bean Salad |

Ingredients
|
* 2 red Delicious apples, cored and chopped
* 1 (16 oz) can kidney beans, rinsed and drained
* 1/4 C green onions, finely chopped
* 1/4 C celery stalks, finely chopped
* 1/4 C mild green chilies, finely chopped
* 1 1/2 tbsp of white wine vinegar
* 1 1/2 tbsp vegetable oil
* 1/2 tsp salt
* 1 dash of hot sauce

Directions

1. Toss the apples, beans, onions, celery and chilies together in a mixing bowl.
2. In separate bowl whisk together the vinegar, oil, salt and hot sauce.
3. Pour the dressing over the salad and toss to coat well.
4. Cover and chill for at least one hour before serving.

Sweet apples with a vinegary dressing just makes my mouth water. How about you? This is a very simple salad recipe but one that tastes like it took hours to prepare. Be sure to let it sit for an hour before you dig in.
The white wine vinegar has a very nice and somewhat smooth flavor that is different from white vinegar or apple cider vinegar. It's worth getting a bottle to try. Once you try it, you'll find that using white wine vinegar in place of other vinegars really does change the flavor for the better.
