Crushed Peppermint Bricks |
Ingredients

* 1 lb dark chocolate
* 1 lb white chocolate
* 30 small peppermint candy canes

Directions

1. Melt dark chocolate in microwave on high 2 to 3 minutes or until chocolate is smooth.
2. Melt white chocolate in microwave on high 2 to 3 minutes until smooth.
3. Place peppermint candies in a large resalable bag and close tightly.
4. Crush peppermint candies with a rolling pin being sure to have different size pieces.
5. Place 1/2 of the crushed candy in a colander and shake over top of dark chocolate.
6. Stir to mix candy in well.
7. Place the other 1/2 crushed candy in the colander and shake over the top of the white chocolate.
8. Line a square baking pan with waxed paper.
9. Layer dark chocolate in bottom of pan.
10. Layer white chocolate over the top of the dark chocolate.
11. Sprinkle reaming crushed candy over the top.
12. Cover pan with foil.
13. Place in the refrigerator for 3 hours.
14. When candy is hard break into block size pieces with a small hammer.

Probably one of the simplest and prettiest dessert candies to make! You can even have your kids help. The youngest will enjoy crushing up the peppermint candies, while the older children help stir the chocolate. Enjoy!
