Dressed Up Canned Beef Stew


* 1 can (24 oz) beef stew
* 1 can (4 oz) sliced mushrooms, drained
* 1 can cream of celery soup
* 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
* 1 1/2 cups chow mein noodles


1. Preheat oven to 375.
2. Combine the first four ingredients in a casserole dish. Top with chow mein noodles.
3. Bake for 1/2 hour.


This is what I would call a college stew, or baby-sitter stew. If you have someone making dinner who is an inexperienced cook, or you just need something very fast and good, opening a few cans and turning them into a warm and filling beef stew meal may be just what you need. This stew is surprisingly yummy and gets rave reviews from the kids.
