Ginger Pear Chicken Skillet


*1/4 C flour
*1/2 tsp salt
*1/2 tsp pepper
*6 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

*1 tbsp olive oil
*2 tbsp butter

*1 tbsp fresh ginger, minced
*1 onion, chopped
*1 C vegetable broth
*2 pears, peeled and sliced


1. Stir together the flour, salt and pepper and coat the chicken with it well.
2. Heat the oil and butter in a skillet until the butter melts then add the chicken.
3. Brown the chicken for 5 minutes per side and remove before it’s cooked through.
4. Stir the ginger and onion together in the skillet and sauté for 5 minutes.
5. Pour in the broth and bring to a boil, return the chicken to the mixture and add the pears.
6. Simmer over medium heat for 8 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through.


Any time you see the words "ginger" and "pear" together in a recipe, be sure to try it! Those are two flavors that were meant to be together.

This is another quick and easy meal prepared in a skillet. We love our skillet meals because there's very little clean up and everything gets done at once in very little time. Perfect way to feed a hungry family.
