Taking the classic comfort food, Green Bean Casserole, from leftover to AMAZING can be tricky. Here is a recipe that adds a few luxury ingredients (shrimp and white wine) to kick this basic dish up quite a few notches.
If you have leftover cooked shrimp, just stir them in after you have heated the green bean casserole through in the white wine in the skillet. You just want the shrimp to heat through but not cook. If you want more color to this pasta dish, toss in a few cherry tomatoes cut in half when you add the hot pasta. Serve with lots of Parmesan cheese sprinkled on top and your humble green bean casserole will be transformed... and no one will be the wiser!
