Healthy Sweet Cranberry Watermelon Cooler |
Ingredients

* 1 small or 1/2 medium watermelon, fruit cut into chunks and seeds removed
* 2 cups cranberry juice, chilled
* 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
* 2 to 3 tsp super-fine sugar (to taste)
* ice cubes and lime slices for garnish

Directions
|
1. Put the watermelon chunks in a blender or food processor and blend until smooth.
2. Pour the watermelon slush through a sieve into a large pitcher to strain.
3. Pour in cranberry juice and lime juice, taste, then add sugar and little bit at a time until desired sweetness.
4. Serve over ice with a garnish of fresh lime slices.

This is a good way to drink real 100% cranberry juice, which is typically too tart to drink without mixing it with something.
The super sweet flavor of watermelon compliments the cranberry juice very well. This combination is perfect for a hot summer day, especially for folks who want to have their drinks on the healthy side. No soda, very little added sugar... all nutrition! SO very good for you!
You can also throw it in the freezer and let it get a little slushie before you enjoy. And, of course, you can add a splash of sparkle if you wish with some Ginger Ale or other bubbly beverage.
