Italian Turkey Loaf - Crock Pot


* 2 lbs ground turkey
* 1 onion, diced
* 1/2 red bell pepper, diced
* 2 teaspoons minced garlic
* 1/2 cup chili sauce
* 2 large eggs
* 3/4 cup Italian breadcrumbs
* salt and pepper to taste


1. Mix all ingredients in a bowl then form into a loaf. Gently place in crock pot.
2. Cook, covered, on low for 6 hours.


You might not think to use chili sauce with Italian-seasoned breadcrumbs but the flavors work very well together. This is a great new way to make a meat loaf and turns out to be very kid-friendly. Be sure not to overmix the ingredients so the turkey doesn't get tough as it cooks. Mix it with your hands just until blended well, then pat gently into a loaf shape.
