Mushroom Onion Sirloin Skillet |
Ingredients

* 1 TBSP of butter
* 1 1/4 lb. boneless top sirloin steak, trimmed and cut into 4 pieces
* 3/4 tsp pepper
* 3/4 C beef broth
* 1 TBSP teriyaki sauce
* 1 onion, cut into thin wedges
* 2 Cups fresh mushrooms, sliced

Directions

1. Melt the butter in a skillet, add the steaks and season with the pepper.
2. Cook 9 minutes turning once or until done to your liking, remove and keep warm.
3. Pour the broth and teriyaki sauce into the skillet and bring to a boil.
4. Add the mushrooms and onions and cook 10 minutes.
5. Serve the mushrooms and onions over the steaks.

This skillet meal is very simple but looks like a million bucks - and tastes like it, too. It reminds me a little of a beef stroganoff dish before you add the sour cream. You have that nice beefy flavor, with the mushrooms and onions, but you also have an added bonus of a touch of teriyaki.
If you like, you can serve this alongside some buttered wide egg noodles or some brown rice.
