One Of a Kind Chili Spaghetti

Ingredients

* 1-qt hot water
* 2 lbs. ground beef
* 1 (12 oz.) can tomato paste
* 1 large onion, chopped
* 3 TBSP chili powder
* 3 bay leaves
* 1 TBSP salt
* 1 tsp cinnamon
* 1 tsp freshly ground pepper
* 1 tsp allspice
* 1 tsp white wine vinegar
* 1/2 tsp cumin
* 1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
* 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
* 1/4 tsp garlic powder
* 1 lb. freshly cooked spaghetti
* 1 C grated cheddar cheese

Directions

1. Brown ground beef.
2. Drain meat well.
3. Place water in a large pot over medium heat.
4. Add browned meat being sure itís slightly crumbled.
5. Stir in tomato paste, onion, chili powder, salt, cinnamon, pepper, allspice, vinegar, cumin, Worcestershire sauce, cayenne pepper and garlic powder.
6. Reduce heat to medium low.
7. Cover pot and simmer 3 to 4 hours, stirring occasionally.
8. Prepare spaghetti as directed on the box.
9. Drain well.
10. Remove bay leafs from chili.
11. Pour chili over the top of the spaghetti.
12. Sprinkle the cheddar cheese over the top.

AKA Cincinnati-style/Skyline chili. Try adding 1-2 squares of baker's chocolate or 1-2 tbsp. of hershey's cocoa powder. You may have to experiment to get the taste right, but you won't regret it. I also recommend putting the beef and onions through a blender for a more "saucy" texture.
