Orange Marmalade Bread Pudding

Ingredients

* 4 thick slices of bread
* 2 tbsp of butter at room temperature
* 4 tbsp orange marmalade
* 1 egg
* 1 1/4 C of milk
* 2 tbsp of sugar
* 1 tsp ginger

Directions

1. Lightly butter a 1 qt. casserole dish.
2. Spread each slice of bread with butter and then with the marmalade. Cut each slice of bread into 4 triangles and arrange them in the baking dish.
3. Place the egg in a bowl and lightly beat. Add the milk and beat until well combined. Beat in the sugar and ginger.
4. Pour the mixture over the bread and let stand for 30 minutes.
5. Set the oven to 350 degrees and preheat.
6. Bake the pudding for 35 minutes or until set.
7. Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream topping.
