Easy Butter Pound Cake |

Ingredients

* 1 cup butter (2 sticks)
* 1 cup sugar
* 1 cup flour
* 6 eggs
|
Directions
|
1. Combine butter and sugar
2. Add flour alternately with eggs.
3. Bake in 350° oven for about 1 hour. Check early as your oven might be quicker! When a knife or toothpick comes out clean, it's ready!

This is an old Southern recipe that actually used 1 POUND of all ingredients, hence the name "Pound Cake"!
