1. In a large pot, cook orzo until just tender, about 2 to 3 minutes, and drain.
2. As orzo is cooking, put oil in large heavy skillet and heat to medium; add pine nuts and stir until lightly toasted, about 4 or 5 minutes.
3. Add the fresh basil, tossing until fragrant, about 1 minute, then add orzo and toss.
4. Taste and season with salt and pepper if desired. Serve warm.
