Party Taco Dip |

Ingredients
|
* 1 envelope taco seasoning
* 1 can (16 oz) refried beans
* 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
* 1 container (16 oz) sour cream
* 1 jar (16 oz) salsa
* 1 large tomato, finely chopped
* 1 green bell pepper, finely chopped
* 1 bunch green onions, chopped
* 1 small head iceburg lettuce, shredded
* 1 can (6 oz) sliced black olives
* 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
* Tortilla chips

Directions

1. Combine the taco seasoning with the refried beans then spread on a large serving plate.
2. Combine the sour cream and cream cheese then spread over beans. Evenly pour salsa on top.
3. Layer with the tomato, green pepper, green onions, and lettuce. Sprinkle cheese and black olives on top.
4. Serve with chips.

I've seen many so-called taco dips that have been a "stripped down" version of a taco. Missing the mark, they are made with only layers of refried beans, cream cheese, and diced tomatoes on top. The secret to a good taco spread or dip is to not skimp on the ingredients! You need to include ALL the stuff that make tacos so good. Think of a complete taco... this dip has it all! Enjoy!
