Pesto Sauce |
Ingredients

* 3 garlic cloves
* 2 c fresh basil
* 1/2 c olive oil
* 1/3 c grated parmesan cheese
* 2 T pine nuts
* 1/8 t fresh ground black pepper
* 1/8 t salt

Directions

1. In a blender, combine garlic and pine nuts; blend.
2. Add remaining ingredients and blend at lowest speed until thoroughly mixed.
3. Stir into hot, buttered pasta for a classic Italiano dish.

Story

This is a multi-purpose pesto, but I really like to just stir a little into some good linguini for a quick dinner or lunch. It's quite colorful and full of flavor and makes a great base for additional ingredients like shrimp or other seafood.
