Punch Decorating With Ice |

Ingredients
|
* 2 qt ring mold
* 4 maraschino cherries, quartered to make 16 pieces
* 16 orange sections
* 16 lemon peel strips
* 16 lime peel strips

Directions
|
1. The mold should be placed in the freezer for at least one hour to chill before making the ring.
2. When you remove the mold rinse it very cold water but do not dry it.
3. Place the mold back in the freezer but only until a very thing coating of frost begins to appear inside the mold.
4. When the frost appears remove the mold.
5. Place the fruit into the mold.
6. Add just enough water to cover the bottom of the mold.
7. Do not add too much water because you don’t want the fruit to float to the top of the water.
8. Place the mold in the freezer until the ice begins to set.
9. When the ice forms remove the mold.
10. Fill with water to the top of the mold.
11. Return to the freezer and allow the mold to freeze into a solid block.
12. Use the mold for decoration in a punch bowl.
13. To release the ring just run under a little cold water and the ring should pop right out.
