*6 cups chicken broth
*2 chicken breasts, diced
*l LB. chicken/apple sausage, cut in half & sliced
*4 carrots, sliced
*4 stalks celery, sliced
*1 onion, diced
*1/2 cup pearl barley
*l LB. potato gnocci
*1 tsp. dried basil*
*1 tsp. summer savory*
*1 tsp. garlic powder*
*1/2 tsp. celery salt*
1. Add chicken & vegetables to broth and bring to a boil.
2. Reduce heat and simmer 15 minutes, or until chicken is cooked.
3. Add sausage, barley & seasonings and cook 40 minutes or until veggies & barley are tender.
4. Ten minutes before serving, add gnocci and adjust seasonings.
5. Serve & enjoy!
*All seasonings can be increased or decreased according to taste (I usually use a little more than this).
