Roasted Garlic Asparagus


* 1 1/2 lbs asparagus
* 1 large garlic clove, halved
* 2 teaspoons olive oil
* 1/2 teaspoon salt
* 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
* 1/4 teaspoon pepper


1. Preheat oven to 400. Cut tough ends off of asparagus. Rub garlic in the inside of a baking pan and then throw garlic into pan.
2. Put asparagus in pan then drizzle oil on top. Sprinkle salt, pepper and thyme over asparagus.
3. Bake for 20 minutes, stirring twice.


Asparagus is great just simmered on top of the stove. How could it get any better? Well, by roasting those tender little stalks in garlic, that's how! When the asparagus hits the farmers markets and grocery stores, this is how I'm making the first batch.
