1. Set the oven to 200 degrees.
2. In a small bowl pour the canola oil and dry ranch dressing and whisk together.
3. Add the salt and cayenne pepper and whisk until well combined.
4. Toss together the pretzel sticks and potato sticks in a separate large bowl.
5. Pour the spiced oil mixture over the sticks and mix to coat everything.
6. On two large ungreased baking pans spread the sticks evenly.
7. Bake for 60 minutes stirring often so the sticks don’t burn.
8. Remove from oven and spread out on racks to cool.
9. Serve when cool. Store extra in sealed container.

I know you can buy bags of spiced up combo snacks, but I prefer to make my own so I can have them as spicy as I want! And as often as I want, too. I don't add salt because the sticks and ranch dressing are already salty, but I sure do love my garlic and spicy cayenne, and sometimes sprinkle in just a tad more than called for...
