Spicy Mustard Skillet Slaw |
Ingredients

*1 TBSP canola oil
*1 tsp. mustard seed
*1 (16 oz.) bag slaw mix
*1/4 C cilantro, chopped fine
*1 Serrano chili sliced thin
*1 tsp. salt
*1 tsp. ground cumin
*1/4 tsp. ground turmeric
*3 TBSP lime juice

Directions

1. Put the oil into a skillet.
2. Place the skillet over medium high heat.
3. Heat the oil until hot but not to the smoking point.
4. Sprinkle the mustard seed into the hot oil.
5. Cover the skillet and cook 30 seconds until the seeds stop popping.
6. Dump the bag of slaw mix into the hot skillet.
7. Stir in the cilantro and chili.
8. Add the salt, cumin and turmeric to the skillet and stir to combine.
9. Cook, stirring often, for 4 - 5 minutes or until the vegetables are crisp tender.
10. Pour the lime juice over the mixture and continue cooking 1 more minute.
