* 1 (750-mil) bottle dry red wine
* 1 C light orange juice
* 1/4 C brandy or cognac
* 1/4 C orange liqueur
* 2 tbsp sugar
* 2 medium oranges, sliced
* 2 C of club soda, chilled
* ice
Directions
1. Pour the wine into a large pitcher.
2. Stir in the orange juice, brandy, orange liqueur, and sugar.
3. Add the orange slices and chill for at least 2 hours.
4. Just before serving, pour in the club soda and add the ice.
Story
This recipe is similar to a sangria. It's quite fruity, but don't let that fool you - you've still got several types of alcohol in there, so it packs a wallop! I use quite a bit of ice so the drink is lighter. Enjoy!
