If you've never cooked a turkey dish with fruit, you are in for a treat. I actually use a combination of white and dark turkey meat for this meal. I think the dark meat has more flavor and stands up very well to the intense flavors of the pineapple and cherry.
If you're lucky enough to get your hands on some wild rice, make a batch to mix in half and half with the brown rice. Wild rice adds a very nice crunch and nutty flavor and compliments these sorts of fruity turkey or chicken dishes very well.
