Tangy Water Chestnuts Bacon Wraps

Ingredients

* 8 oz can whole water chestnuts, halved
* 1 lb bacon
* 1/2 cup ketchup
* 1/3 cup sugar
* 1 teaspoon soy sauce

* optional: you can use a good, lighter flavored barbeque sauce instead of the ketchup and sugar. You'll still want to add the soy sauce for an extra tangy flavor, but maybe use only 1/2 teaspoon instead.

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 350.
2. Cut the bacon slices in half. Wrap bacon around water chestnuts and secure with a toothpick. Bake for a half an hour. Drain grease off pan.
3. Put the last 3 ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Coat the bacon chestnuts in sauce and bake for another 20 minutes.
