Two-Step Acai Berry Blue-Riffic Slushie


* 1 cup blueberries
* 1/2 cup raspberries
* 1/2 cup low fat yogurt
* 1/2 cup skim milk
* 1/4 cup acai berry juice
* 1 tsp wheatgerm or flaxseed
* 1 cup ice cubes


1. Put all slushie ingredients in blender, then with blender on high speed, start adding ice cubes until desired consistency.
2. Serve immediately in tall, chilled glasses for a nutritious and delicious breakfast, lunch, or pick-me-up drink.


I'm hooked on these super nutritious and delicious slushies, or smoothies. It's definitely filling enough to substitute for lunch or breakfast. The flaxseed (or wheatgerm) adds a great texture, and of course, lots of nutrition!

Play with the ingredients a bit to tweak this slushie. Use vanilla yogurt for a sweeter layer of flavor. You can even turn this into a dessert drink by adding a dollop or two of ice cream. Enjoy this slushie any way you like!
