Winter Wonderland Fudge

*4 C confectioner's sugar
*1 (8 oz) pkg. cream cheese, room temperature
*1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
*1 (12 oz) pkg. white chocolate, chopped
*3/4 C walnuts, chopped

1. Dump the sugar into a large mixing bowl.
2. Fold in the cream cheese.
3. Pour the vanilla into the mixture.
4. With an electric mixer on low speed beat 3 minutes or until smooth.
5. Place the chocolate in a double boiler over medium heat.
6. Bring the water in the bottom to a simmer.
7. Cook 5 minutes or until the chocolate is smooth, about 5 minutes.
8. Turn off the heat and allow the mixture to cool 2 minutes.
9. Fold the cooled chocolate into the sugar mixture.
10. Fold the walnuts in.
11. Pour the mixture into a square baking pan lined with wax paper.
12. Refrigerate at least 2 hours.
13. Cut when the fudge is firm.

White chocolate has a very different flavor, and feeling, than milk or dark chocolate. Oftentimes, kids will enjoy white chocolate fudge better because it tastes a little sweeter. This is a nice fudge to share with your neighbors and friends because you don't see it that often. A perfect hostess gift!
