BBQ Shredded Pork Roast - Crock Pot |
Ingredients

*1 (4 lb.) boneless pork shoulder roast
*1 sweet onion, cut into thin wedges
*1 (12 oz.) bottle of chili sauce
*1 C of cola
*1/2 C of ketchup
*2 Tbsp yellow mustard
*1 Tbsp cider vinegar
*1 Tbsp chili powder
*2 tsp ground cumin
*1 1/2 tsp minced garlic
*1 tsp paprika
*1/2 tsp salt
*1/2 tsp pepper
*1/4 tsp red pepper, crushed

Directions

1. Place the meat and onions into the crock pot.
2. In a bowl whisk together the remaining ingredients and pour over the meat.
3. Cover and cook on HIGH for 6 to 7 hours.
4. Remove the meat to a platter or big bowl and shred with a fork, then return the meat to the crock pot and stir to mix with the sauce.

This is one great mixture of spices and flavors! This shredded pork could be entered in any contest. The meat stays nice and tender and sauce is perfectly seasoned. Serve on hearty rolls with a dollop of coleslaw on top for authentic style pulled pork sandwiches.
