Caramel Nut Coffee Toffee |
Ingredients
|
*1 1/2 C sugar
*1 (5 oz) can evaporated milk
*1/4 C cold coffee
*3 TBSP caramel flavored instant cappuccino
*1/3 C butter, chopped
*2 C pecans, chopped

Directions

1. Line a square baking pan with wax paper.
2. Spray the wax paper with butter flavored non stick cooking spray.
3. Place the sugar into a heavy saucepan.
4. Pour the milk over the sugar.
5. Pour in the cold coffee.
6. Position the pan over medium heat on the stove.
7. Add the butter and stir.
8. Cook 3 minutes, stirring continuously, until the butter melts.
9. Reduce the heat to the low temperature.
10. Cook 12 minutes, stirring often, until a candy thermometer reaches 235 degrees.
11. Remove the pan off of the heat.
12. Fold in the pecans into the toffee.
13. Spread the toffee into the prepared pan.
14. Cool to room temperature before breaking apart.
