Cheesy Creamy Style Corn - Crock Pot |
Ingredients

* 1 (16 oz) pkg. frozen corn
* 1 (8 oz) and 1 (3 oz) pkg. cream cheese, cubed
* 1/4 C butter, cubed
* 3 Tbsp water
* 3 Tbsp milk
* 2 Tbsp sugar, to taste
* 6 slices processed American cheese, broken into small pieces

Directions

1. Place the corn, cream cheese, butter, water and milk in the crock pot.
2. Add the sugar and stir until it is mixed in with the other ingredients well.
3. Layer the cheese pieces over the top.
4. Cover and set the crock pot heat to low.
5. Cook 3 to 4 hours or until the cheese has completely melted, stirring occasionally.

Even though I'm not a fan of cream style corn, or creamed corn, as some folks call it, I can appreciate this dish. Starting with frozen corn and adding cream cheese to it is more my style. Throw in a little butter and cheese, and there are no complaints from this corner! Kids who won't normally eat corn seem to like this dish. Must be the sweet taste, or maybe the cheese. Whatever it is, it works!
