* 1 small box orange Jello
* 1 cup white sugar
* 1 3/4 cup boiling water
* 3 tablespoon cornstarch
* 1/4 cup cold water
* 4 grapefruit
* 1 baked pie shell
* 4 oz. cream cheese, room temperature
* milk

|
Directions
|
1. Mix Jello, sugar, and boiling water together and stir until dissolved.
2. Dissolve cornstarch in cold water and add to the Jello mixture. Cook until liquid gets clear; then cool.
3. Peel 4 grapefruit, separate into sections, then cut into small pieces. Save a few of these sections for a garnish. Add grapefruit to cooled Jello mixture.
4. Line the baked pie shell with cream cheese softened with a little milk, then pour the Jello mixture into the shell and chill until firm and well-set.
5. Serve with whipped topping and garnish with grapefruit sections.

Story

This is a surprising grapefruit dessert. It's plenty sweet enough with the orange Jello, but has a nice tangy taste, too, and very refreshing.
Serve this after a large meal for a dessert that's not too filling, but still satisfying.
