Classic Marinara Sauce - Crock Pot

Ingredients

* 2 medium onions, chopped
* 6 garlic cloves, minced
* 4 (14 oz each) cans diced tomatoes with Italian seasoning, do not drain
* 6 oz can tomato paste
* 1/2 cup water
* 1 1/2 tablespoons dried Italian seasoning

Directions

1. Mix all ingredients in crock pot.
2. Cook, covered, for 8 to 9 hours.
3. Serve over hot cooked pasta.

Story

This is a classic, simple sauce that is perfect for folks new to cooking. It's so simple to pour into the crock pot and walk away. You don't have to brown any meat or dirty any other pans for any reason. Well, at least not until you boil the noodles. You don't even have to measure out any spices - they're already in the diced tomatoes.

If you wanted to cut corners even more, you can buy frozen chopped onion and already minced garlic. It can't get much easier than that.
