Freshen Up Fruit Salad

Ingredients

* 2 cups of fresh strawberries, sliced
* 2 cups of grapes, halved
* 1 cantaloupe, cut into chunks
* 2 firm bananas, sliced
* 1/3 cup fresh orange juice
* 1 tsp lime juice

Directions

1. Place all the fruit in a large glass bowl.
2. Pour the orange juice over the top and toss to coat well.
3. Cover and refrigerate until chilled through.
4. Stir before serving.

Makes 10 servings

Story

You can really use any of your favorite fruits in this tasty salad, but I like this combination of flavors and colors. The orange juice and lime juice add a nice burst of freshness and flavor to the salad.

If you like a little crunch in your salad, roast some chopped pecans. It's easy to roast them - just put the pecans in a dry (no oil) skillet over medium heat; shake and toss until you just smell the pecans. They're ready when they become aromatic. Top each salad serving with the toasted pecans.

Consider making this healthy salad for breakfast, lunch, snack, dinner, or dessert.
