I found barley in my pantry and I was stumped about how to use it. My husband does not like barley soups of any kind, so that caused a problem. I didn't want to throw it out, so I thought I could disguise it if I surrounded it with sweet stuff. It worked! This simple dish is something I now call "Sweet Pilaf" and my husband is none-the-wiser that he's actually enjoying barley.
