Grilled Salmon with Avocado Garlic Sauce |
Ingredients

* 2 avocados, peeled and diced
* 2 cloves garlic, minced
* 3 tbsp plain yogurt
* 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
* 1/2 tsp salt
* 1/4 tsp pepper
* 2 lbs salmon steaks
* 2 tsp dried dill weed
* 2 tsp lemon pepper

Directions

1. Set the grill to medium heat.
2. Using a fork mash the avocados, garlic, yogurt and lemon juice together.
3. Stir in the salt and pepper until well blended.
4. Rub the salmon steaks on both sides with the dill weed and lemon pepper.
5. Cook the steaks 15 minutes, turning once, or until tender and flakes easily.
6. Add the avocado mixture to the top of the salmon and let sit on grill for just 30 seconds, then serve.

To me, salmon just cries out to be marinaded and covered with a savory sauce. This is certainly one sauce that answers the salmon's cry! We make salmon on the grill quite often and tend to flavor a bit on the sweet side, so this was a refreshing change from the sauce we were used to. It's not only delicious but very good for you, too.
