I Love You Chocolate Dipped Fruit |

Ingredients
|
*1 TBSP butter
*2 TBSP half and half
*2 TBSP light rum, divided
*8 oz. semi sweet chocolate, chopped
*Fresh strawberries
* optional fruit if strawberries are out of season could include chunks of banana or even pineapple.

Directions
|
1. Place the butter into the bottom of saucepan.
2. Place the pan over low heat and allow the butter to begin to melt.
3. Pour the half and half into the melted butter.
4. Place 1 TBSP of the rum into the pan.
5. Bring the mixture to a slow boil.
6. When the mixture just begins to slowly boil remove it from the heat.
7. Add the chocolate and whisk until smooth.
8. Whisk in the remaining rum until combined.
9. Pour into a small fondue pot and place over the heat source.
10. Dip the strawberries into the chocolate before consuming.

This chocolate fruit dip is for Sweethearts! Even if you don't have a fondue pot, you can keep the dip warm by keeping it either in a mini-crock pot, or just in a bowl over a pot filled with hot water. Send the kids to Grandma's and enjoy an evening for just the two of you!
