1. Put the almonds and other nuts on a baking sheet (no oil needed) and roast in a 300 degree oven for about 7 or 8 minutes.
2. Remove, salt lightly if desired, and allow to cool.
3. When cool, put the nuts in a big bowl and add the raisins, and seeds, and toss together until mixed well.
4. Put mixture in glass jars with tight lids or in other tightly sealed food storage containers or ziplock bags. Store in cool place or refrigerate.

I choose all unsalted nuts so I can add the amount of kosher or sea salt that I want. I like the combination salty-sweet taste courtesy of the salt and raisins. You can add all sorts of other things, but this is the simplest recipe for the most nutritional bang! Enjoy!
Even if you buy roasted nuts, the reason you roast them before mixing is to really bring out the flavor. When the natural oils in the nuts heat up, the flavor intensifies. It's well worth the 7 or 8 minutes it takes. Be sure to salt the nuts when they are still warm on the tray.
