Old Fashioned Oats Soy Milk Fruit Smoothie

Ingredients

* 1 cup soy milk
* 1/2 cup old fashioned oatmeal
* 1 banana, broken into pieces
* 12 frozen strawberries
* 1 tsp honey

Directions

1. Put all ingredients in blender and blend until smooth.
2. You may wish to cut the strawberries in half before you add them, or use mashed strawberries.
3. Serve immediately while smoothies are still frothy.

Story

This smoothie has everything you need for a balanced breakfast. However, it's refreshing enough to have as a mid-day snack or even a light lunch.

Use old fashioned uncooked rolled oats (oatmeal) when possible, but the quick cooking style will work, too. If you have access to fresh strawberries, go ahead and use those, just add a few ice cubes to get the smoothie nice and frothy.
